Warning make sure you purchase the right book

So I bought this book right through this product page. About a month into my class I find out there's two different versions of the book, The regular version and an abridged or brief edition. This abridged edition does not contain the last 5 chapters: exceptions and input/output, GUI, recursion, data structures, running time analysis. Fortunately I was able to return the book in the return period but don't make the same mistake I did.

Cheaper than the bookstore

A new copy of this is cheaper than both a new and a used copy of it in my university's book store. I bought a new one because my major includes Java, so having a reference is nice. As for it's contents I haven't gone too deep in it but so far I think it's descriptive and the CD that comes with it can help you set up if you don't know what sort of tools to use to start writing code. The key it has has some problems for you to do on a website that can be good for both self-service and classroom-setting homework. I would've preferred a hard cover version but this'll do.

I saw this game played at GENCON. The system is easy to learn and lends itself exceptionally well to cinematic storytelling. The genre does not lend itself to campaigns, but is great for a night together playing with friends.

Unlike a fantasy or SF game where the strategy is in choosing the proper spells or weapons, here you choose not only your actions, but how much you're willing to spend in order to succeed. As a result, you are much more mentally engaged, and there is less overall frustration with the dice (rather, there's happiness when you roll well).

I'm looking forward to volume 2, and to seeing the modules published.

I got my access code today, it was not opened or anything but... The access code did not work, I tried many ways following the instructions and also IT. I guess I wasn't lucky enough to get an access code that worked, I had to purchase one somewhere else.

This access code is not valid for my class. The appearance on the code package was exactly the same so I'm not sure why it's not working. The ISBN did not match exactly, but my book store had it in a package with a text book - so I assumed it would still work. I hope I can get my money back and I am now debating whether or not to purchase the code for about the same price online from Pearson themselves. Which is what I should have done in the first place.
